Dear Kellyn

I really miss you, like... i really do. I know you probably don't think so, i hope i didn't make you feel like you were just pretty face, if so im truly sorry. I starting to believe i can't help if i come off nonchalant, though i deadass remember everything you told me, Things from your birthday, your favorite food, up to things such as your biggest pet peeve and the only tattoo you would get. Honestly you would make my day, i just didn't want you to know. Best believe every convo we shared in our classes together i cherished, i really wanted ask you to go to prom with me, but then i thought about all the niggas you probably had already turned down, so i decided to ask another girl instead, who i liked, but didn't give me butterflies. I wish i would've told you somethings when i had the chance, let you know more about me, the real me. There's so much more i would like to get off my chest, but i'll save that for a face-to-face. I hope you read this, and like it, but most importantly believe the words i said or better yet wrote. Until next time.
                                                                                                              Sincerely,
                                                                                                                             Devante'

Get Em', Lupe!!!

I don't remember seeing this cypher since it was back in '06(i believe) but even if i did i doubt that i peeped how complex Lupe's rhymes were. He BODIED it. Styles P and Papoose did their thing too.

P.S. Please read the definition of a cypher on this video....im tired of ppl bashing rappers because they didn't freestyle.

"Back To The Future, Back To The Haze"...

Is some absolute garbage. Words can't even describe how disappointed i am that Charles would even be apart of this shittyness. Charles just last week you turned 23, the remastered All Alone was a dope single to drop, hell you were even trending...*sigh* C'mon son i know Corp ya man, but Damn.

Never Judge Off a First Single

We should never judge an artist off of their first mainstream single...though i've been guilty of it, and im sure you have too. I don't know what it is but some artists attempt to make their first single a hit in an uncharacteristic way. For example B.O.B's first single was "Haterz Everywhere", personally i thought the song sucked ass, and because the song gave me that impression i thought B.O.B was a shitty rapper. Now look at him, his album debuted at No.1, he has two lead singles off of his album, "Nothin On You" & "Airplanes" and seems to have another in "Don't Let Me Fall". So the question is why would an artist so talented put out a song he probably is ashamed of now? Is it for mainstream appeal? or could it be to lure the mainstream audience to who you really are musically? IDK, i have no clue really, but artists who do this fail to realize that they give themselves an false image to the listeners. Here's another example, Tyga, now when Tyga was my favorite rapper back in 07-08 he wasn't popular and was just making mixtapes with features with his GED label mates. Then when he gets the deal with Pete Wentz(Decaydance) and signs to YM he puts out a sub-par single, "Coconut Juice". This kinda upset me because i was telling everyone that he was the next nigga to blow, but once they heard his single they didn't give him another listen. So while artists attempt to make hits that don't reflect their true talents, they lose possible fans that they mislead in the process.

Mistah fab did the same with his "Hit Me On Twitter", but dude can really spit he just may freestyle better than CH, you be the judge.

What's Charles Hamilton's Best Project???

I Know everybody considers "The Pink Lavalamp" a "classic", and i agree it was pretty damn good. Though i been listening to "Normalcy" alot lately and im convinced it's his best piece of work. I know 98% of StarChasers would disagree but his originality really fell into place on this album. First of all, let me start with the instrumentals, now most rappers are known for what they do to beats, while charles is known for how he uses it. The beats for Normalcy were top notch, the samples were great and were done in good quailty(especially "Laptop Therapy" and "Baby Says I Want"). Secondly, lyrically this was his best shit, compare the lyrics from Pink LavaLamp to Normalcy and tell me he aint step his bars up. I know there were done almost 2 years apart but still lyrically Normalcy kicks Lavalamp's ass(Give "20hamil10" another listen as well as "Coodies"). Another reason is the way it was mixed and mastered was highly overlooked, the way the beats were chopped and how you could actually hear the samples crystal clear unlike most of his work was pretty amazing. Truly Normalcy was the most slept on project of CH right next to "This Perfect Life" another album i think is better than Lavalamp. Now my fianl reasons are because...well CH ain't the best rapper, and when he has that rapper approach rather than his artistic approach you won't get the best out of him because yet again, he ain't the best rapper. Now when he produces his own shit, comes up with creative hooks and decent verses, that's when he's on top of his game, and i think every StarChaser would agree with that. #GiveNormalcyAnotherListen

YESSSSSSS!!!

I know i aint post nothing in a minute, i just been very busy tryna make sure im enrolled in school by the time spring arrives, working hard on the job, and things of that nature. Now that i have a chance to relax, i wrote a couple more verses that i won't post because my studio set arrived today(never been syce to see a delivery man before, Pause) so ima be putting out audio versions. Also i was able to catch up with some new music i missed and what do you know...Charles dropped like 2 more projects and a all freestyle mixtape. SMH, should i even give them a listen? I finally heard that new Jay-Z "Most Kingz" and it very inspiring, it sends an important message about success. Now im gonna enjoy the rest of my day, gonna set my shit up, gonna give Charles instrumental tape a listen, and gonna write to "Water Works". I will post that one for sure.

Big K.R.I.T

This nigga is the best rapper i've heard this year, seriously. I heard one song from him "Children of the World" last year and thought it was good but never looked him up to hear more. It's a shame it's taken me this long to realize how talented he is. He's from the south(Mississippi) and not to many rappers from the south impress me because of there style, not being ignorant or anything like that but it is a fact that most southern rappers tend to not really care about lyrics or be lyrical. This year i caught on to southern rappers such as Curren$y, Jay Electronica, and now Big K.R.I.T, and im glad i have because it starts to change my opinion of southern hip hop. K.R.I.T is everything your average hip-hop head would want to hear, he has lyrics beyond measure and produces his own instrumentals with soul samples. His mixtape or better yet album "K.R.I.T. Wuz Here" consists of nothing but bangers. Every track has a good feel to it, that's something that is lacking in hip-hop today. I strongly suggest those who haven't heard of him to give him a listen, it's always good to hear artists who will lay the foundation for the future.

"For Your Locker"

Alright i know i spazzed about how CH was droppin music at random too much but i can't complain this time, his 3-song EP is dope. I love "There" that instrumental is amazing. "HSU" has a laid back feel to it, it's the kind of track that could change your mood if in a bad one. "Famtana" was my least favorite but it is a cool track tho. Great project CH...Instant download. Just short-lived

"Im late for first period like a pregnant 13 year old" lol

All Over The Place

Didn't even realize Big Sean dropped "Finally Famous Vol.3" and that Fat Raps remix is OD. Ash bodied it, i swear niggas need to stop sleeping on him(he done came a long way since "Asleep in the Bread Aisle"). Sean did his thing as usual and i was pleased to hear my man Chuck Inglish on the track. So im giving the rest of the tape a listen and coma across his track with Tyga. No bullshit, Tyga used to be my favorite rapper above C Ham. Tyga just had that refreshing flow and originality, but now that he's with Young Money i barely listen to him, i think he let the fame get to him a lil bit. Dude just don't kill it anymore like he used to...he's still underrated nonetheless. they should make more music together tho, "Fuck My Opponent" was a cool one. Speaking of Tyga and Young Money, I hope Wayne KILLS it when he gets out. Im not talking "No Ceilings" level, hell not even "Tha Carter 3" level...This has to be his best shit yet. If not i think it's over for him, not his career(C'mon he's Wayne) but his days of selling records will be in the rear-view mirrior. The way i see it is the nigga had 8 months to cook something up, since he's in prison im assuming he spends most of his hours writing...i mean it's not much else for him to do. So "Tha Carter 4" should not only be the his best release lyrically but also top C3's sales(prolly not first week). Im really routing for him, and i hope he doesn't blow this golden opportunity by getting bagged again(T.I. lol). In the end result i think Wayne delivers.

First Verse Of Many

First laid eyes on her back in the ninth grade
Dark skinned beauty, fell in love with her face
Damn...catching feelings for another girl again
Without having the courage to even start a conversation

But she shy too, i really couldn't believe that
I'd glance over and we'd make eye contact
Then we both immediately look the other way
And then go repeat the same the following day

But one morning, i vowed i was gonna take a chance
My nerves caused sweaty palms, couldn't allow for us to shake hands
So i started with a compliment, her smile reflected she was glad
Joked around and together we shared some laughs

But all jokes aside, she aint gotta read between the lines
She could look into my eyes and read the thoughts i have in mind
And discover all the feelings i keep stored inside
So she knows my intentions aren't just to get in between her thighs.

I will post the rest as soon as i find it lol got 2 more verses. Funny thing is i actually had a thing with this girl, (still can't believe i pulled it off) but none of that really matters because she wants nothing to do with me now.
You only get so many chances...well im about to search for the rest of it.

Is J.Cole really THAT dope?

I mean...the nigga  nice but i think dude is over hyped but not overrated. It's probably because before i heard about him alot of niggas was like "Cole the best rapper out" then when i heard him i wasn't impressed i thought he was good but wasn't worth the hype he was getting. I don't know maybe ima hater lol but i just can't seem to become a fan of his. I need to hear some of his best work, but one things for certain he is not overrated because unlike 80% of the niggas out today dude can actually spit.

(Thinking about posting something but not sure if i should)

Ima StarChaser but...

Charles is seriously fuckin up. I can't even begin to explain how talented he is, we all know dude is one of the most original artists in the game, better yet in Hip-Hop history. With that being stated i feel he is the one of the best musicians, but has NO sense of direction(and it clearly shows). I love getting the load of free music he dishes out, i really do (thanks sonic) but at the same time im like if he focused on one project at a time he'd make nothing but classics. We've gotten alot of mixtapes since "The Binge 3" but where's "My Heart" the album he's been talking about, or better yet the album his lastest single "Guachos" is supposed to be on. Then there's "M/A/T/E"(Mirrors Are The Enemy) which is supposed to be his last album, so why the fuck is he working on Prof. Muttley is sexy or some shit like that, then he just relased "StarCHaser Radio" which is pretty dope, but at the same time another useless project. I hate to use the word "useless" because Charles is my favorite rapper/producer/artist/muscian of all time. I just hate to see him work so hard for pretty much nothing, not only do i feel he's selling himself short but also wasting his talent. So many ESTABLISHED rappers have said Charles has that "It" factor but needs to channel his energy and focus elsewhere. Ima StarChaser for life but he has to bring something to the table besides unreleased music and random projects. Nigga need to drop an album, i'll be happy if doesn't drop any material for a couple months which leads to an great piece of work.

Had Better Days

Damn...i can't believe how bad today was. It's like i had a dark cloud over my head(it for damn sure rained on my parade). My first official job was cool for the first 30-45 minutes then a truck full of store goods pulled up, then all hell broke loose. *Sighs* is it cool if i start to call in sick already? lol Then to make matters worse i called my on some "What you cookin for dinner" type shit and she said "You know how to turn on the stove". WTF, let me chill...a wise man once said "today went the way it did, so tomorrow can go the way it should". If my mood changes i might post this verse i wrote last night, but in the mean time let me find the number to the carry-out so i don't have to look later.

P.S. Shout out to Sasha for following my blog, she probably did it just to be nice but shout out anyway. I like the stuff she writes.

"TAFIETU"

So Charles decided to bless us with "TAFIETU", the apparent album that Interscope wanted him to release until they heard the last 2 songs. Well the question is which album is better, the album Interscope thought was "store worthy" or "This Perfect Life the album Charles gave us last year. Personally "TAFIETU" was very good but the second to last track "Telemundo" ruined it for me, Every other song is fire. Now "This Perfect Life" in my opinion was great from start to finish, i loved "Three Pound Bullet" and "Rosado" was very heartfelt. So there it goes i feel that Charles shelved album was better than what Interscope wanted...though both albums were dope. (Short entry for debating Albums but i gotta go, the Hooter girls and wings await me) lol

Anticipated Albums...

Well...im without a doubt coppin that Kanye. Dude is the only artist this year that will go platinum in the first week, mark my words. Wayne album(Tha Carter 4) i do plan on supporting, hopefully it could be released later this year(due to his situation). I didn't even purchase Drake's or Em's because i wasn't interested in the material on their albums. Drake had far to much singing for a HIP-HOP album and Em's just didn't appeal to me at all, though 780,000 people disagreed and supported him in his first week. Now the Album i really want to be able to buy, like in an actual store would be Charles Hamilton's album. Now him being in stores isn't likely but if he manages to get on itunes then i would happy to support him, i mean he's released classics for free..i just would like a physical copy of his work. #StarChaser (Possibly Normalcy or This Perfect Life)

...But until then i'll be working on my first mixtape entitled "Within My Composition", been on this for a couple months now writing and spitting free's. Time to record the rest of my material.

Happy Birthday Asher Roth

Ash is 25 today(i believe) dude not only can rap but is also original. I hate how every white rapper gets compared to Em somehow...Anyway i support Ash so....Asher Roth - Muddy Swim Trunks
