First Verse Of Many

First laid eyes on her back in the ninth grade
Dark skinned beauty, fell in love with her face
Damn...catching feelings for another girl again
Without having the courage to even start a conversation

But she shy too, i really couldn't believe that
I'd glance over and we'd make eye contact
Then we both immediately look the other way
And then go repeat the same the following day

But one morning, i vowed i was gonna take a chance
My nerves caused sweaty palms, couldn't allow for us to shake hands
So i started with a compliment, her smile reflected she was glad
Joked around and together we shared some laughs

But all jokes aside, she aint gotta read between the lines
She could look into my eyes and read the thoughts i have in mind
And discover all the feelings i keep stored inside
So she knows my intentions aren't just to get in between her thighs.
